Measure the narrowest point on the delivery path before ordering — doorways, hallway corners, stairwell turns, and any low ceiling on a landing. A standard 30-inch interior door gives roughly 28 inches of clear opening once stops and hinges are accounted for. Tubs are normally carried on their side, so width and height usually matter more than length. All three are on every product page. If you're close to the limit, send us your measurements before you buy and we'll tell you honestly whether it will make the turn.

Because they're what determines how a tub actually feels to sit in. Two tubs with identical 67-inch exteriors can differ by several inches inside, depending on wall thickness and rim design. Most residential floors framed to current code carry a filled freestanding tub without modification, but a filled tub concentrates several hundred pounds over a small footprint. Run the calculation above and have a contractor confirm — particularly for second-floor installations, homes built before 1970, or tubs over 70 inches. We can't assess your structure remotely and won't guess about something this consequential.

A tub is not normally filled entirely with hot water — hot water mixes with cold to reach bathing temperature. Whether your water heater is sufficient depends on the tub’s capacity, heater size and type, temperature setting, and incoming water temperature. Check your chosen tub’s capacity and consult your plumber if you’re unsure, particularly with larger models.

Leave at least 4 inches between the tub and any wall for cleaning access, and 6 inches or more if you want it to read as a true freestanding centrepiece. Allow 30 inches of clear floor on the entry side. For comfort, match interior length to the tallest person who'll use it — interior length minus about 6 inches is a comfortable soak for someone of that height.

Protective film across the whole acrylic surface, rigid corner posts running the full height of every corner, a double-wall carton sized to the tub, and a wooden pallet base, all banded into one rigid unit. The corner posts are the part that matters most: freight trailers are loaded in stacks, and the posts carry the weight of everything above your tub straight down to the pallet, so the shell never holds anything up.

The driver brings the pallet to your curb or the end of your driveway and lowers it to ground level. They will not carry it inside, take it upstairs, bring it to the bathroom, unpack it, or remove the pallet. This is standard for all palletised freight, not specific to us. Plan for two able-bodied people on delivery day, or book a handyman for the appointment window.

Yes — an adult signature is required. The carrier books an appointment window with you in advance, so you'll know when.

Carriers charge redelivery and daily storage fees for missed appointments, and those are passed through at cost. If your plans change, call the carrier directly to reschedule as early as you can.

Four steps, about two minutes:

1. Photograph the pallet before anything is moved, ideally while it's still on the truck.
2. Inspect the carton on all four sides — crushed corners, punctures, tears, water staining, broken banding, a split pallet board.
3. If anything looks wrong, open it and check the tub before signing. You're entitled to do this.
4. Describe any damage specifically on the delivery receipt, then sign.

Signing without noting visible damage can make a freight claim significantly more difficult, because the carrier may treat the signature as evidence that the shipment arrived without visible damage. Describe anything unusual clearly on the delivery receipt before signing.

Write what you actually see rather than just "damaged" — "carton crushed along right side, 2-inch chip on tub rim near drain end" is what wins a claim. Avoid "subject to inspection"; it feels protective but carriers treat it as noting nothing at all.

Accept in almost every case, with the damage noted. Accepting keeps the evidence at your address, which is where we need it. Refuse only if the tub is clearly destroyed or the pallet has obviously been dropped — and write the reason on the receipt before you do. Refusing an undamaged shipment is treated as a return, so it's an expensive way to change your mind.

Email us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs. Keep everything — tub, carton, corner posts, pallet — until we say otherwise, since carriers have the right to inspect and discarding packaging early can end a claim. Please unpack and check the day it arrives even if installation is months away; concealed damage claims are won on prompt discovery.

We handle the carrier claim and arrange a replacement. You file nothing, pay no return freight, and pay no restocking fee. Transit damage is a shipping problem, not a return, and we treat it as ours.

We strongly recommend a licensed plumber. Installation involves drain rough-in placement through the floor, precise levelling, and a watertight connection you can't inspect once the tub is set. Mistakes are expensive and aren't covered by warranty.

No. Freestanding tubs are sold without faucets so you can choose floor-mounted, wall-mounted, or deck-mounted hardware to suit your bathroom and plumbing.

Installing it yourself doesn't void the warranty on the tub, but damage caused by improper installation isn't covered — and that distinction matters, because a stress crack from an unlevel base can look like a defect without being one. If you do hire a plumber, keep the invoice.

After installation is complete. Most scratches happen during the install, not before it.

30 days from delivery on an unused, uninstalled tub in its original carton, pallet, and corner posts, with an RMA number issued by us first. A 20% restocking fee and the cost of return freight are deducted from your refund.

You don't have to solve that yourself. We'll book the return freight and deduct the actual cost — no markup, and we'll tell you the figure before booking. If you'd rather arrange your own carrier, you can, but the tub must arrive repackaged to the original standard.

For the first 30 days, yes. A tub that can't be repackaged safely can't be returned.

Return freight on a palletised tub runs into the hundreds of dollars each way, plus inspection and repackaging. We could fold that into every price and advertise free returns, but then everyone who keeps their tub pays for the ones who don't. We keep prices lower instead, and publish enough information — interior dimensions, soaking depth, filled weights, rough-in specs — that you shouldn't need to return anything. If you're unsure about fit, ask us before you order.

Warm water, mild liquid soap or a cleaner labelled safe for acrylic, and a soft cloth. Rinse and dry. Acrylic is non-porous and doesn't need aggressive cleaning.

Abrasive powders, creams, scouring pads, or steel wool; acetone or nail polish remover; undiluted bleach or ammonia; solvent or petroleum-based cleaners; drain-cleaning chemicals on the tub surface. These cause permanent damage and aren't covered by the warranty.

Yes — rinse afterwards rather than letting residue sit. Strongly pigmented bath bombs can stain any acrylic surface overnight, and oils leave a film that dulls the finish over time.

Fine scratches usually polish out with a compound made for acrylic, applied with a soft cloth in a circular motion. Deeper scratches need professional repair — contact us and we'll point you to options.

A 1:1 solution of white vinegar and warm water, left a few minutes then rinsed thoroughly. Repeat rather than scrubbing.

We sell online only, which is part of how we keep prices where they are. What we do instead is publish more than a showroom would tell you: interior dimensions, soaking depth, filled weight, drain rough-in, and detailed hardware photography.
